And before Chelsea fans have probably started panicking that the La Liga club is going to steal their key player, it's time to allay their fears and calm them down - it's not Moises, but Josue Caicedo, one of the most talented players in South America.
As Marca reports, Barca's scouts kept tabs on the LDU Quito player during the last U-20 Copa Libertadores and moved quickly to secure his signature, agreeing on a loan deal with an option to buy that could become mandatory for €2.5 million.
The 18-year-old's main traits are his physicality, pace, and attacking qualities, while his crossing abilities add versatility to his profile, allowing him to operate comfortably as a central midfielder, left-back, and left-winger.
Caicedo will initially join Barcelona B and become the latest exciting prospect to emerge from Ecuador after the Chelsea midfielder mentioned above, Piero Hincapie, Willian Pacho, Kendry Paez, and others.
