The Man City boss announced strict control and weighing once his players return from their three-day Christmas break. The overweight ones won't travel to Nottingham!
Pep Guardiola has always been recognized as one of the greatest perfectionists in football. However, his meticulousness doesn't just apply to formations and on-pitch matters, but also to those off the pitch.
For instance, he keeps a close eye on his players' weight, and, given that the holiday season - which is fertile ground for gaining a few pounds - has started, the Spaniard has announced strict control and weighing once his players return from their three-day Christmas break.
"The moment they arrive after three days [off] I want to see how they come back. They can eat but I want to control them. Imagine one player and now he's perfect but he will arrive with three kilos more. He will be in Manchester, he will not travel to Nottingham Forest," Pep revealed via BBC.

"Yesterday every player made weight. On the 25th I will be there controlling [them]. How many kilos [they] come up. They can eat but I want to control them.… pic.twitter.com/v41uqmQIMs
At the same time, he admitted he wasn't satisfied with his lads' performance in a 3-0 win over West Ham two days ago (What a perfectionist, huh?), so he refused to fulfil one of their wishes.
"The players asked me to have tomorrow's [Sunday's] training session off and I said no, because they didn't play well enough. So Sunday recovery, train the guys that didn't play, and after three days off they have two days to prepare for Nottingham Forest," Guardiola stated.
In the end, the 54-year-old showed his slightly more lenient side, highlighting the importance of giving players days off during the holidays and allowing them to spend this precious time with their families.
"I've learned from England, since I arrived, as much days [where you can] have a day off, you give them. The schedule is so tight and the players have to forget. The moment of the game they will be fresh in the legs," concluded Pep.
Starting next Saturday, the Cityzens will be in for an exhausting schedule, as they'll play four Premier League games in 11 days - against Nottingham Forest, Sunderland, Chelsea, and Brighton.
