Bayern's legend suggests the club will be active in January's transfer window

Bayern are playing much better lately. After the brutal 8-0 victory against Darmstadt, honorary president Uli Hoeness also commented and hinted at upcoming transfers for coach Thomas Tuchel. With fellow title-chasers RB Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund and especially Bayer Leverkusen playing well, the most successful German club will need additional recruits to maintain their domination.

On Monday, Bayern hosted a charity event for children from foster families, social institutions, or with refugee backgrounds. The guests included the entire Bavarrians' team with their families and the board, including Herbert Hainer and honorary president Hoeness. The latter also spoke extensively about the current situation at the record champion.

After five consecutive wins in competitive matches, Hoeness is already looking forward to the blockbuster game in Dortmund next Saturday.

"It's a pity that Joshua Kimmich will be suspended. Nevertheless, the team played superbly in the second half. It was really enjoyable to watch. This is how I always envision Bayern."

The 71-year-old Hoeness also hopes for a similar performance as in the second half against Darmstadt against BVB.

"I hope that we can put pressure on Dortmund accordingly on Saturday. At the moment, I consider Bayer Leverkusen our toughest opponent. They are doing a great job, and the team plays excellent football."

To maintain pressure on the current Bundesliga leaders - Bayern currently trails Leverkusen by two points - it is also possible that the record champion will make moves in the transfer market. In the last transfer window, Tuchel did not get all his wishes fulfilled. Hoeness said something that should please the coach.

"If good arguments come our way, we are generally not opposed to it. Especially if we continue to compete in three competitions, we need to analyze what is needed. Our coach will get everything that is necessary."
