If you're not inside, you might not know what's happening inside - Shikanda responds to Ababu

Ingwe has since settled with former player Tom Juma to lead the club next season
AFC Leopards chairman Dan Shikanda has accepted the recent tongue-lashing from the Cabinet Secretary for Sports Hon. Ababu Namwamba, but was quick to point out that it is the wearer of the shoes who knows where it pinches most.
A visibly disappointed Namwamba recently berated the management of both Leopards and Gor Mahia, the country's foremost community clubs, and most successful on the field, for maladministration.
“The management of Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards must take full responsibility for this mess. This is shameful. Stop picking third-grade foreign players and coaches when we have good players here to choose from and coaches who are capable. Robert Matano, Jacob ‘Ghost’ Mulee, and Francis Kimanzi have shown that they are capable," the former Budalangi Member of Parliament said.
While K'Ogalo were locked out of African Champions League for failing the Club Licencing test, Ingwe are grappling with over Ksh. 20 million fine after being reported to FIFA by their former coach Patrick Aussems.
"I think the management of both (AFC) Leopards and Gor (Mahia) were trying to do their best for these clubs, sometimes it works other times it doesn't," said Shikanda.
"I remember when these issues of (Patrick) Aussems were coming up there was a point where we were almost parting ways, but everybody was up in arms, saying that we could not part ways.
"So, everyone's opinion is welcome and we appreciate the thorough dress-down by the minister, but if you're not inside, you might not know what's happening inside," Shikanda said.
In what looks like a change of strategy after being bitten, Ingwe has since elevated former Aussems' assistant, Tom Juma, who is now the head coach.
Juma, in his heyday, played for both Leopards and Gor Mahia.
"He has been a deputy under several coaches and I believe he now has the experience to lead the club," Shikanda pointed out.
