Bryne FK goalkeeper Jan de Boer got himself four trays of eggs after the excellent performance against Bodo/Glimt

Two years ago a Zambian footballer was awarded with five crates of eggs for being the man of the match in Zambian Super League fixture.

Since then, we haven't seen anything similar until last night, when a Norwegian goalkeeper earned almost the exact same award for his excellent performance - three trayes of eggs.

Believe it or not, Bryne FK goalkeeper Jan de Boer was seen posing with those eggs following a 1-0 loss to Bodo/Glimt.

Despite the defeat in the opening game of the season (Norwegian league starts in March and lasts until October due to a weather), the 24-year-old Dutch keeper got a praise for his display.

His mum will be thrilled for the award, that's for sure.
