At least that's the information revealed by the director of the Egypt national team
When Mohamed Salah announced his Liverpool exit two months ago, everyone was stunned. Still, they knew the forward had 10 more games to play, so the inevitable farewell could have been prolonged and thus made less painful.
Nevertheless, the hamstring injury he suffered three days ago against Crystal Palace abruptly ended his farewell tour and marked the duel against the Eagles as his last in the Reds' jersey.
At least that's what the director of the Egypt national team, Ibrahim Hassan, revealed.
“He has suffered a hamstring tear and will require four weeks of treatment,” he told Reuters via Al Jazeera.

According to Ibrahim Hassan, Egypt’s national team director, Salah is suffering from an injury that will keep him out for a month, but he is expected to join the Egypt national team for the World Cup. pic.twitter.com/Y4cxDRQhGS
That practically means that Salah will miss the remainder of Liverpool's season and the Premier League duel, crucial for the club's Champions League qualification, against Manchester United, Chelsea, Aston Villa, and Brentford.
However, he should be ready to lead the Pharaohs at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where the seven-time Champions of Africa will face Belgium, Iran, and New Zealand.
