If it happens, it will be the CAF A-certified tactician’s first league title with the Brewers.

The team currently sits second on the league table with 47 points, only one point behind leaders Kenya Police FC.

It is that thrilling race that has led Okere to lay out a detailed plan to ensure his proteges rise to the occasion and secure the top spot come the end of the season.

Reflecting on Tusker's campaign so far, Okere admitted that the team had struggled in the first leg, often scoring freely but conceding way too many goals.

“We began our journey like the train; slowly, till now we have caught the momentum, and it is very inspiring. I urge the team, technical bench, and our sponsors to keep pushing,” Okere told Mozzart Sport.

He went on to highlight the team's improvement in the second leg.

"During the first leg, we used to score goals and concede, but we have improved. We decided that we are not going to be ordinary but extraordinary," Okere said.

To further sharpen their competitive edge, he has introduced a series of specialized training sessions focusing on both individual and group development.

This tactical shift has yielded positive results, with the team showing significant progress in both attacking and defensive play.

"We have to score as many goals as possible and prevent as many as possible. Through that, we will have a formidable team that will push to the end of the league," Okere explained.

Another key strategy Okere has implemented is the segmentation of the remaining fixtures into three-match blocks, each treated as a mini-campaign. The goal in each phase is to secure maximum points.

"We need 27 points from the remaining matches. It is possible. We have done this before, and we will do it again," he stated.

Morale is another crucial aspect of Tusker’s title push, and the gaffer is determined to maintain a positive and focused atmosphere within the squad.

At the start of the season, Tusker set two key objectives: to win both the Mozzart Bet Cup and the FKFPL title. Their hopes of securing the former were dashed after a defeat against Nairobi United, but he believes that the league title is still within reach.

"We have no excuses. There is no reason we cannot score goals and defend our goals. There is something to hold on to,” he concluded.

Over the weekend, the Brewers left it late against Bidco United, clinching victory courtesy of a well-taken goal by second-half substitute Deogracious Ojok.

The hard-fought win saw them push their points tally to 47, narrowing the gap to just one point behind league leaders Police FC, who reclaimed the top spot following a 1-0 triumph over Posta Rangers.
