Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota find the back of the net for a deserved 2-0 victory

Jurgen Klopp's Reds are back at the Premier League summit after a convincing 2-0 away win at Burnley on Tuesday night.

A goal in each half - by Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota - was enough for the Scousers to clinch a critical victory that launched them back at the top of the EPL table for at least 24 hours.

The Reds got the perfect start by netting six minutes into the game, as Nunez finished it marvellously from the edge of the box to end a 12-game-long goalscoring drought. That was the Uruguayan's striker first goal since October.

Salah could have doubled the lead in the later stage of the opening half, but his effort ended on a crossbar.

Harvey Elliott even scored, making it 2-0 after the break, but his goal was chalked off for Salah interfering with play in an offside position. However, the visitors finally got their second when Diogo Jota smacked home in the final minute.

On the other hand, Burnley failed to create a single shot on target and are in the bottom three, five points adrift of safety.
