It's only a friendly, but it was enough to get the Gunners excited. Gabriel Jesus found the net twice as his new team thrashed German club 1.FC Nurnberg in a pre-season friendly at Max-Morlock-Stadion.
Arsenal's pre-season programme continued in empathic fashion as the Gunners came back from being 2-0 behind to celebrate a 5-3 win over the 2. Bundesliga side. The Germans scored five goals in this match, but the problem is that two of those ended up in the wrong net.
Despite starting this friendly as a substitute, Mikel Arteta's new Brazilian weapon managed two second-half strikes, of which the first one came barely 90 seconds after taking to the pitch. There was also a fine strike from Mohamed Elneny as the Gunners overcame the team that finished eight in the German second tier last season.
Hector Bellerin was also spotted playing for Arsenal despite his future at the club being far from clear.
