Inter's fall from brace: Bologna steal a point at Meazza after trailing 2-0

Reading Time: 2min | Sat. 07.10.23. | 18:20

Accerbi and Lautaro pushed their side two up in the span of just three minutes, but the visitors fought back stunningly (2-2)

Inter were flying high on a 2-0 lead at home on Saturday afternoon after just 13 minutes but had to settle with not more than a 2-2 draw following a surprising Bologna comeback.

Francesco Accerbi's glancing header at the near post following Hakan Calhanoglu's corner pushed the Nerazzurri one up before Lautaro Martinez launched a breathtaking screamer into the top corner from 20 yards out.

At that point, it seemed the Champions League runners-up would easily secure three points. Especially considering their two previous 6-1 humiliations of Bologna. Alas, this time, it was a whole other motion picture.

Riccardo Orsolini made it 2-1 from the spot following Lautaro's foul in the box.

Bologna did complete the comeback a few minutes into the second half as Zirkzee controlled a Ferguson ball over the top, turned and waited for the Inter defenders to make their attempted blocks before smartly disguising the finish into the near bottom corner.
