The Rossoneri easily crushed the crew from the south of Italy (3-0) and advanced to the Coppa Italia Round of 16, where they'll face Lazio
Ahead of the Coppa Italia clash between AC Milan and Lecce, the Rossoneri were on a three-win run, while the side from Apulia suffered four consecutive defeats and was winless since mid-August. On top of that, Milan haven't lost to Lecce since April 2006.
After last night's duel at San Siro, all these streaks continued, as Massimiliano Allegri's men easily brushed aside the popular Giallorossi 3-0.
When the visitors' centre-back Jamil Siebert was sent off only 18 minutes into the game, it was clear that Eusebio Di Francesco's team didn't stand a chance and that it was only a matter of time before Milan broke the deadlock.
A little over 54,000 people at San Siro didn't have to wait long for the opener, as Santiago Gimenez scored his first goal for Milan since May.
Despite the dominance against the ten-man rivals, the home crew failed to extend their lead before the break. However, the second period brought two more goals in Lecce's net, both scored by ex-Chelsea men.
In the 51st minute, it was balloon time, as Christopher Nkunku scored his maiden Milan goal with a beautiful half-bicycle kick, after joining from the Blues' ranks for €37 million a month ago.
Christian Pulisic put a cherry on top of Milan's victory 13 minutes later, proving that he's the most efficient Rossoneri player at the moment.
In the Coppa Italia Round of 16, Allegri's team will face Lazio in Rome on December 3.
