After defeating Arsenal (2-0) and Manchester City (2-1), Iraola's gang put to sword Ange Postecoglou's Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday night (1-0).

"After we beat Manchester City and Arsenal, we went to Brentford away and it is teams like that, which we struggle with sometimes. We need to get up for those games, especially against the teams in and around us. This league is so tough and it is only getting better, which is scary," explained the Cherries captain Adam Smith after the game.

Bournemouth boss Iraola was thrilled with the victory that climbed them above Spurs on the Premier League table.

"It is a very good win. I especially liked the second half.

"First half we were disciplined in defence and not conceding chances, but also not as much of a threat as we were in the second. We had many chances but luckily we finished the job."
