The NSL top scorers chart has started taking shape with former Gor Mahia midfielder Ivan Anguyo in contention for the golden boot.

Former Gor Mahia midfielder Ivan Anuyo is having an outstanding season in front of goal with Mully Children’s Family (MCF) FC having bagged four goals so far this campaign.

The lanky midfielder has been part of the side since they earned promotion to the National Super League (NSL) from Northern Zone Division 1 back in 2019.

Of the four goals, he has registered this season two have been from the penalty spot leaving him joint 12th on the top scorers’ list five goals from the top spot.

John Njoroge has been a shining light in an otherwise dark season for Nairobi Stima as he sits at the summit of the top scorer’s chart with nine goals having taken only one penalty this season.

Stima are out of form having lost four consecutive games and have plummeted to 13th on the log following a decent start to the season.

The chasing pack of Dennis Cheruiyot from Silibwet, Police FC’s Sam Githare and Kibera Black Stars forward Ronald Okello are locked on seven goals apiece.

Cheruiyot had started the season with a bang but has stuttered in recent games leaving him with seven goals.

NSL Round 16 continues on Wednesday with high flying Police FC taking on Coast Stima who have fallen off the pace.
