Simba Queens lead the standings with 26 points

Harambee Starlets forward Jentrix Shikangwa was on target as Simba Queens as they hammered Tiger Queens, recording a huge 7-0 win in a Tanzania Women Premier League match on Tuesday.

The goal pushed the former Vihiga Queens' forward tally to nine, joining her compatriot Cynthia Shilwatso and former teammate Opa Clement, who has since joined Besiktas, at the summit of the scorers' chart on nine goals.

Carolyne Rufa was handed a starting berth in the match, with other Kenyans Topister Situma and Vivian Corazon Aquino watching the proceedings from the bench.

Shikangwa opened the scoring after 11 minutes with Danai Bhobho doubling the scores in the 35th minute, with Joelle Bukuru making it 3-0 just before the halftime break.

Two minutes into the second half, Asha Djafar made it 4-0 before Olaiya Barakat added a fifth in the 74th minute.

Asha Djafar netted the sixth, completing her brace in the process with 10 minutes left to play, with Amina Ramadhan sealing the seven goals with a strike right at the death.

Shilwatso will be hoping to take a lead on the chart when her side Fountain Gate Princess takes on Amani Queens later today at 4 PM.
