The veteran defender loses patience with his forwards and goes up to nail it for the win

Barcelona have moved 14 points clear of Real Madrid at the top of the La Liga table on Tuesday evening after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Osasuna at Camp Nou.

The away side went down to 10 men inside the half-hour opening, but it didn't help Barca cruise to an expected landslide victory.

The Blaugrana created very few chances for the entire 90 minutes, with De Jong and Dembele missing the two most promising ones in the second half.

Fortunately for Barcelona, they got the breakthrough late on. De Jong's cushioned header found Jordi Alba and his strike to the low bottom corner sent the home fans into ecstasy.

The result should have been more convincing for Barcelona, but they will be pleased nonetheless to have secured another victory as they look to secure their first La Liga title in four years.
