Juma dispels Bandari's cause for alarm, tips team to close in on league leaders

The skipper has asked his teammates to keep their levels of concentration high ahead of the weekend game against AFC Leopards
Bandari captain Andrew Juma has tipped the club to turn around the club’s poor start in the current season within a short time and catch up with the high-flying log leaders, Posta Rangers.
The Dockers have won two of their opening six matches of the campaign and were, as a result, forced to make changes to the technical bench last week.
Going by the kind of players the club signed in the off-season transfer window, Bandari was expected to be among the teams showing early signs of challenging for the title, but that is not the case.
The poor start saw veteran tactician Twahir Muhiddin leave his position as head coach, with his assistant John Baraza taking over on an interim basis.
Bandari have lost three times and drawn once, underlying their struggles in the initial stages of the season.
Despite the slow start, Juma is confident that the team will crack it once the league resumes this weekend after the FIFA break.
The center back, who was elevated to the rank of first team captain following the exit of Michael Wanyika, said the team had capitalized on the break to work on the areas that cost them points before.
“There is no cause for alarm at all, for we will definitely turn it around. We are aware that we didn’t start well, but the focus and determination to right the wrongs we have done before are there. We have been working hard during the break, and I believe the fruits will be seen this weekend,” said the former Mathare United defender.
The former Gor Mahia star, in the meantime, asked his teammates to concentrate on getting maximum points when they host the AFC Leopards on Sunday.

“We have to concentrate throughout,” added Juma.
