Tactician leads Western Stima away to 2008 champions Mathare United merely two days after appointment.

Newly appointed Western Stima tactician Abdalla Juma will be in charge of his first league match this afternoon when his struggling outfit clash with Mathare United at Kasarani stadium. Juma, will be hoping the new coach effect has an immediate impetus to a toxic squad registering dismal performances. Although he has been brought in to steady the ship, whether he can turn things around in the short time he's been in charge remains to be seen.

Western Stima come into today’s game struggling to piece results together. Of the nine games they have played, six have ended in defeat and two have been draws. Their only win in this campaign came in matchweek 4, a convincing 2-0 win against AFC Leopards.

This poor run of form has seen the power men clutching for survival in the league at 16th place, A relegation playoff position. Stima’s recent poor performance on the pitch have led to the dismissal of highly respected Paul Ogai from the team.

Mathare United on the other hand will be hoping to get out of the automatic relegation places for the first time this season when they take on Western Stima. The slum boys are in 17th position, just one point behind their opponents in the rescheduled fixture.

Mathare have only failed to score in two out of the six games they’ve played. They’ve also reduced the margin of their defeats to only one goal margins in the last two fixtures compared to their two goal margins in their first two games of the season.

The two clubs will both see this as an opportunity to put right the many challenges they’ve endured this season. A game changer. A chance to start afresh by picking a positive result.

The match kicks off at 1500EAT at Kasarani Stadium.
