Justice Cup: South West Branch emerge football champions

South West Branch FC clinched the 18th edition of the Justice Cup while Bowmans claimed the Plate trophy in games organized by the Law Society of Kenya that were staged at Parklands Sports Club on Saturday 22 October.

By winning the Main Cup in football, South West Branch walked home with Ksh.100,000, a trophy, and medals with the prize money issued by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna.

With the games extending to the evening darkness, the organizers opted for straight penalties in all the knockout games in a bid to save on time as South West Branch beat Kituo cha Sheria on spot-kicks.

Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier’s law firm Rachier and Amollo Advocates claimed third place after beating LSK Sacco in the Third Place Playoffs.

In the football Plate, Bowmans lifted the gong after beating LSK Coast in the final with the latter beating South Eastern Branch and the former eliminating Mohammed Muigai Adv in the semis.

In basketball, Emerging Law Firms claimed the overall title after beating Office of the AG to picket the Ksh25,000 prize money while LSK Rift Valley walked home with a similar amount after grabbing victory over State Law in volleyball.
