Juve eyeing Skiniar, Arsenal's defender also on radar

The Turin giant is looking for a replacement for injured Bremer

Due to a knee injury sustained during the Champions League match against RB Leipzig, the Brazilian defender Bremer might have to take a break for as long as six months, meaning Juventus will need a new center-back. The Turin club will try to find one during the January transfer window, and Gazzetta writes that Milan Škriniar is the first choice for the ’Old Lady’. On paper, a great choice.

The former Inter player does not have the full trust of Luis Enrique at Paris Saint-Germain. Since the start of the season, he has only played 111 minutes in Ligue 1 and did not feature in the Champions League matches against Girona and Arsenal. His contract with PSG runs until 2028, but considering his high salary of 10,000,000 euros per year, it might be in everyone's interest to negotiate a return of the Slovakian to Italian football.

Škriniar made his breakthrough in Serie A playing for Sampdoria, shining in the 2016/2017 season, which earned him a transfer to Inter for a fee of 34,000,000. He spent six seasons at the Milan club, winning the 2021 Serie A title, two cups, and a Super Cup, before moving to PSG as a free agent. After joining PSG, he played regularly, but at the start of this year, he had to take a break due to an ankle injury. After that, he fell out of favor, and since August his spot was taken by young Willian Pacho, who arrived from Eintracht for 40,000,000. In addition to the 29-year-old Slovakian international, other potential replacements for Bremer include Arsenal's Jakub Kiwior and Bologna's Sam Beukema.
