The Old Lady booked their place in the cup quarter-finals after defeating Udinese 2–0 on home turf
Juventus managed to defeat Udinese for the second time in a little over a year, this time in a cup match, winning 2–0 thanks to goals from Locatelli and Jonathan David. It was a routine victory for the Old Lady, who allowed their opponent only three shots on goal, all from distance. Udinese did score once, but the goal was overturned after VAR intervention. Juventus experienced the same situation later on…

The black-and-whites played without the injured Vlahovic, and Filip Kostic was also given a rest. Having fought his way into the Juventus starting XI, the coach Spalletti decided to spare him against Udinese and keep him fresh for the upcoming, more important challenges.
Juventus scored the opener in the 23rd minute, when David slid in inside the six-yard box after a McKennie cross. There was some doubt over whether the ball was put into the net by the Juventus forward or if it was an own goal by Palma, but in the end it was credited to the Canadian. David found the net again 11 minutes later, but that goal was ruled out for offside. The goal is HERE!

Before the opening goal, the main focus was on Kenan Yildız, who had two big chances that he failed to convert.
The only negative for Spalletti from this match was the injury to centre-back Gatti, who had to leave the field in the 56th minute. Problems have really been piling up for the black-and-whites lately…
In the end, Palma brought down Cabal inside the box, gifting Juventus a penalty that Locatelli converted for the second goal — the one that sealed the Old Lady’s victory and their passage to the quarter-finals of the Cup. The goal is HERE!
