Kahata has disclosed that he has several offers on the table.
Simba SC and Harambee Stars midfielder Francis Kahata says his future will be clearer next month as he nears the end of his two-year contract with the Tanzanian champions.
Kahata has been with Simba since June 2019 when he walked out on Gor Mahia on the Bosman and penned a two-year deal with Simba. He has won one league title and is in line to bag another with Wekundu Wa Msimbazi.
His future however is up in the air. In January, the club deregistered him from their league squad and his slot was taken by Zimbabwean attacker Perfect Chikwende. Kahata’s role was reduced to a handful of CAF Champions League substitute appearances before they exited in the quarter-finals, his season is all but over now.

The stylish midfielder now says his future will be decided by next month. He also revealed that he has several offers on the table but did not rule out extending his stay with Simba.
“My future will be clearer next month. I have several offers on the table my agent is handling everything and I will make a decision soon. I have not discussed with Simba over an extension but by next month everything will be clear, I will know whether I will be continuing here or I will join another club” he said during the Simba Safari Soccer show.
He further admitted that it has been a difficult period as he wished that he got more playtime.
“For any player, playing week in week out is very important, we love playing and when you are not getting adequate playtime it affects you badly. I was only available for CAF CL matches and even in these matches I was not getting enough and it has not been easy,” he added.
Despite the limited playtime he has seen in recent months, Kahata says he has enjoyed his time in the Tanzanian PL.
“I have enjoyed my time at Simba and in Tanzania. I have won titles here, played in the CAF Champions League, and looking back I think it was a good decision to come here,” he concluded.
Kahata has been linked with a top Sudanese club.
