Posta Rangers on Friday obliterated Nzoia Sugar 2-0 at Kasarani Annex to deliver a fifth straight league win and open a four-point led at the summit of Football Kenya Federation Premier League and the club's gaffer could not hide his delight, expressing satisfaction with his charges mentality and desire to fight.
Rangers are having one of the best starts to the league having emerged in top in tests against Kenya Police, Sofapaka, Murang'a Seal, Kariobangi Sharks and Nzoia furthermore, collecting a point against the oilers Bidco United.
Head coach John Kamau has applauded the side for remaining calm during matches executing the team's philosophy well enough to nick points from tough encounters citing the tie with millers Nzoia as a perfect example.
Speaking after the match, Kamau noted that the sugar men strategy was a bit difficult to crack but a spirited fight from his Rangers saw them break under pressure conceding from mistakes.
"It was a game of two halves, the opponents defended very well in their own half, very compact and waiting for transition moments," he offered
"I think we had to change something with my side and so we managed to corner them, there were spaces the opposition created. We kept tracking and knocking and I think they started to crack and eventually gave us chances," added Kamau.
"Patience is key in our team this season and that Nzoia game was perfect show of what we have been doing and are continuing to do. I am very happy with the mental fortitude of this team," he concluded.
Next for Posta after the international break is a stern test against fellow city boys FC Talanta.
