KCB captain Simon Abuko noted that the dream of lifting their maiden league title is still alive, 10 games into the season.
Following a flying start to the season, KCB skipper Simon Abuko has lifted the lid on the title race noting that the dream of lifting their maiden league crown is still alive.
Despite their recent struggles, KCB still sit second on the log with 25 points from 10 games and are one point behind table-toppers Tusker having played a game less.
Abuko was impressed with the team’s efforts thus far this season and added that their dream of lifting the league title is well on course.
“When we started the league, we had our goal which was lifting the title so far we have played 10 games and the league is still in progress and we still have the strength to achieve that goal,” he said.
KCB’s success this season has been built on strong on a solid defense which has seen them only ship four goals, making them the meanest defense this campaign.
After a run of six straight wins at the start of the season, KCB were stopped in their tracks by AFC Leopards and responded well by beating struggling Western Stima but picked up a draw against Ulinzi Stars a week later.

The impressive results in December that saw KCB win four games on the spin, earned coach Zedekiah Zico Otieno the Coach of the Month with Abuko lauding the gaffer.
“We thank God for our coach - we have a working partnership as he guides us every time and that is why you see us working hard. If the coach wins awards then it motivates the players to also work hard. We are so excited that he has won the Coach of the Month award,” added Abuko.
KCB next face a daunting task when they take on Nzoia Sugar on Saturday 20 February with The Millers yet to lose a game at home.
