Vihiga Queens' 0-0 draw with Nakuru City Queens handed Police the title

Kenya Police Bullets FC have clinched the FKF Women's Premier League after defeating Zetech Women 6-2 in a league match at the Police Sacco Grounds on Saturday afternoon.

The win, coupled with second-placed Vihiga Queens' 0-0 draw with Nakuru City Queens, saw the law enforcers, formerly Thika Queens, declared champions with a match left before the season concludes.

The police entered the game with a three-point buffer at the top, controlling their fate, knowing they only needed to win this game and their final one to be declared champions.

They achieved it in style, leading 5-0 against the Scholars by the 25th minute. Captain Juliet Andibo opened the scoring in the 4th minute with a long-range effort, setting the tone for a challenging afternoon for Zetech.

Rebecca Okaro added the second goal in the 11th minute before Lucy Kwekwe made it 3-0 in the 17th minute, leaving the visitors stunned. Kwekwe scored her second goal five minutes later, followed by Okaro's second and the team's fifth in the 25th minute. These were the only goals of the first half.

Star player Lydia Akoth made it 6-0 in the 58th minute before Zetech managed two late consolation goals through Yvonne Kavere and Anna Arusi.

The win increased Police’s tally to 46 points, while second-placed Vihiga has 41 points ahead of the final games of the season.

In other games played today, Bungoma Queens beat Wadadia 1-0, and Kibera Soccer Women demolished Bunyore Starlets 4-2.
