Enock Wanyama has been on a one-month trial at Slovak top-tier side FK Pohronie and is eager to put pen to paper soon

The youngster, who is set to return to Kenya before the end of the week, says he enjoyed the trial experience in Slovakia.

"I did my best and really enjoyed my time at the club and country in general. I did my best during the trials and I hope it was enough to convince the club to hand me a contract," Wanyama told Mozzart Sport.

FK Pohronie finished bottom of the Slovakia Super League but edged MFK Ruzomberok by a solitary goal in the final play off match on 22nd May to confirm their top-flight status.

This was music to Wanyama's ears as he hopes to return to Slovakia next season to help the club do better. The club is already undergoing some restructuring and recently parted ways with several players and members of the technical bench.

"My agent told me the club will be in touch in the coming weeks and my hope is that all will go well. I am hoping to be part of the team next season." He said.

Wanyama got into the limelight while featuring for South B United Sports Academy (SUSA) in the Chapa Dimba Na Safaricom Grassroots Tournament. He was in the books of Ligi Ndogo before travelling to Slovakia for trials.

AFC Leopards fullback Yusuf Mainge featured for Pohronie during the 2019-20 season before rejoining Ingwe at the beginning of the current season.
