Dunga joined Sanuki on loan back in December.

Kenyan forward Ismael Dunga finally made his much awaited debut for Japanese outfit Kamatamare Sanuki who suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Fujieda MYFC.

The former Tusker FC forward was loaned out to the Japanese third tier outfit back in December from his parent club Sagan Tosu who ply their trade in the top flight.

Dunga missed the first three match day squads with the club failing to provide an update on his omission from the opening games of the season.

The 29-year-old was however named on the bench for Sanuki in the clash against Fujieda MYFC as they looked to return to winning ways following defeat last time out against Nagano.

The first half had chances few and far between the two teams as they struggled to break each other’s set of defences and both sides went into the break locked in a barren draw.

Fujienda however resumed the second half strongly and broke the deadlock just two minutes before the hour mark through Ryota Iwabuchi.

With Sanuki looking to salvage something from the game, Dunga was given the nod in the 87th minute as he came on for Takuma Goto.

Dunga will hope for more minutes when Sanuki take on Fukushima United on Sunday 10 April.
