Elsewhere Zetech Sparks came back to score a goal in the second half and force a draw against KISPED Queens

Kibera Soccer Women marked their return to the FKF Women's Premier League after a two-week hiatus with a 5-0 thumping of strugglers Bunyore Starlets.

Faith Mboya picked up from where she left in the last match to open the scoring for Kibera in what was her fifth goal of the season.

The forward added another one before Medina Abubakar completed the first-half scoring to ensure a 3-0 lead for the Kibera-based side heading to the break.

In the second half, a goal by Lucky Achando and another one by Mboya to complete her hat trick ensured that Kibera walked home with the maximum points.

Mboya’s hat trick was her seventh goal in just two games since she joined Kibera in the mid-season transfer window and is now in the matrix of the Golden Boot contention.

The win ensured Kibera closed the gap at the top as they now have 28 points, just one shy of league leaders Kenya Police Bullets but with a game in hand.

Bunyore on the other hand are stuck in the relegation zone at position 11 with just nine points to their name after 14 rounds of matches.

Zetech 2-2 KISPED

Elsewhere Zetech Sparks came back to score a goal in the second half and force a draw against KISPED Queens who were on the verge of taking all the three points in a match played at Imani Stadium, Ruiru.

KISPED took a 2-1 halftime lead through a brace from Laura Atsabina but Zetech fought hard to score a second-half equalizer to at least remain with a point at home. Zetech’s goals were courtesy of Faith Muli and Christin Awuor.

After the draw, both Zetech and KISPED are stuck at their sixth and ninth positions respectively having played 14 matches each.

All Starlets 0-0 Bungoma Queens

In the other match of the day, Kisumu All Atarlets and Bungoma Queens battled to a barren draw in a match played at Moi Stadium, Kisumu.

Bungoma Queens remain in fifth with 21 points while Kisumu All Starlets have moved to seventh with 26 points.

In an earlier match, Ulinzi Starlets and Kenya Police Bullets played to a 1-1 draw at Ruaraka Grounds.
