Arteta brings in another player, this time a defender

Arsenal are close to sealing the deal for Spezia's Polish defender Jakub Kiwior in a deal worth around $25 million. Just a day after the signing of forward Leandro Trossard, various media outlets in Italy and England are claiming that it's only a matter of minute before Arsenal confirm the signing of the 22-year-old centre-back.

Kiwior was an integral part of the Polish World Cup squad in Qatar. He has ample time to improve and will provide cover and competition for Gabriel.

Spezia spotted the left-footed defender a year and a half ago while he was still playing for Slovakian club MSK Zilina and paid just over $2 million to sign him. The tall defender has excelled since moving to Italy. Spezia will make a quick profit on him as well, with Arsenal set to pay around $25 million to get him to the Emirates.

Kiwior has been spotted on Saturday morning boarding an aeroplane to take him to London, where he'll soon embark on a new adventure with the Premier League leaders.
