To put it politely, Dortmund are in much better form ahead of the first-ever clash with the Blues

Do you what is WWWWWWWW? And what LLDLLLDD means?

That first one is the summary of Borussia Dortmund's last eight games across all competitions, whilst the other streak tells a story of Chelsea's last eight away games.

As you can probably figure out, BVB have won all of them, while the Blues haven't felt that sweet taste of victory outside Stamford Bridge for months.

And, guess what, those two teams are about to meet at Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund on Tuesday night, in the Champions League Round of 16 tie.

BVB progressed to the knockout rounds after finishing second in Group G behind Manchester City, while the Blues stormed through Group E past AC Milan to secure the top spot.

Dortmund have lost only four of their last 21 home matches in the elite competition, though there of those losses have been against English sides.

On the other hand, the Blues have won just one of their eight matches since the turn of the year and may be required to go all the way in the Champions League if they wish to compete in Europe's elite club competition next season.

Securing a positive result against Dortmund on Wednesday could prove challenging as they have won only three of their last 11 away meetings with German opposition.
