The Partenopei are again in talks with the former Tottenham, Chelsea and Inter coach, whose demands are firm and well-known

Aurelio De Laurentiis wanted Antonio Conte in the fall of 2023.

However, the tactician himself was unwilling to take over any club at that moment, which will change at the start of the next season.

The Napoli's owner should meet with Conte in the next three days to start negotiating the move. According to Tuttosport, Conte's demands are clear - a salary of 8,000,000 euros per season and not a cent less.

After Luciano Spalletti's departure, Napoli were not at all happy with his successors.

Rudy Garcia was fired after only four months with the club, and Walter Mazzari's return after a decade didn't pay off either. The experienced tactician spent only three months in his second stint with the Partenopei before Francesco Calzona took over in February. It is already clear that cooperation with him will not continue after the end of the current season.

De Laurentiis did not spend much this season hiring a coach since he made all three picks based on going as cheaply as possible.

Now, he is ready to make a U-turn and provide Conte with a significant salary, although the Italian media are not so sure he'll accept Conte's salary demand of 8,000,000 per season.

The 50-year-old coach has been unemployed for more than a year since he left Spurs in March 2023. His last significant success came in 2021, when he won the Serie A title with Inter.
