As if there weren’t already enough issues with the other players, the Brazilian forward is complaining once again about his place in the club

Xabi Alonso’s start at Real Madrid has been anything but smooth. While the club expected him to focus on building the team’s on-field identity, the immediate challenge seems to be managing tensions inside the dressing room. Reports suggest the relationship between the demanding coach and some of his star players has grown frosty, with whispers of unrest beginning to surface.

At the center of the storm is Rodrygo, a player whose frustrations are well known. On paper, the Brazilian is a key figure for Madrid, yet his appearances this season have been scarce. Since Alonso took over, the winger has started only four of the team’s 22 matches — a clear drop from his pivotal role in recent campaigns.

According to AS, Rodrygo is reportedly nearing the end of his patience. If his playing time doesn’t improve, he intends to seek a frank discussion with the club. The 22-year-old feels he is "too young and too talented" to spend the season mostly on the bench.

Just months ago, he played a vital role in securing Real Madrid’s 14th and 15th Champions League trophies, yet now he watches large portions of matches from the sidelines. A brief competition with Vinicius Júnior for the left-wing spot seems to have left him further sidelined.

Rodrygo had once rejected the lure of the Premier League, aiming to fight for a starting role at Madrid. But with his game time dwindling, he is reportedly reconsidering that decision. If nothing changes, a transfer could be on the horizon. Interest is already strong, with Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham said to be tracking him closely.

Complicating matters, Alonso’s usual choice for the right wing, Franco Mastantuono, is injured, and his stand-in Brahim Diaz has struggled to deliver — netting just one goal in 13 appearances. In theory, the path is open for Rodrygo to step up, but the reality is harsher: he hasn’t scored since March, leaving him caught in a frustrating cycle.

The Brazilian’s tolerance is wearing thin. Could he soon become one of Real Madrid’s most notable departures in recent memory?
