Ingwe are winless in the opening three matches of the new season
AFC Leopards management is sticking by coach Tom Juma and his technical staff even as pressure mounts for his dismissal due to a slow start to the season.
Ingwe remains winless in the opening three games of the 2023-2024 Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) season - drawing two and losing one of the fixtures.
Calls by fans for Juma's resignation escalated over the weekend after the team battled to a discouraging barren draw against visiting Muhoroni Youth FC at the Kasarani Stadium last Saturday.
Yet, in a statement, the club's management has kept faith in the entire technical bench led by Juma.
"The management of the club is pleased to announce its unwavering confidence in the leadership of the technical bench, headed by Tom Juma," the statement reads.
Leopards has not won the league since 1998 - putting immense pressure on any coach handling the teams to break the jinx.
Despite another poor start to a new season - signaling a longer wait for the much sought after 13th title - the management is optimistic the team will bounce back soon.
"The club remains committed to achieving its goals and aspirations, and we trust that the technical bench is well-equipped to guide us toward victory.
We anticipate excellent results in the matches to come," adds the statement.
The club is calling on the fans to remain optimistic and continue rallying behind the team.
"Your unwavering support is the driving force behind our success, and together, we can achieve greatness and make this season one to remember," added the letter
Ingwe will next face Police FC who have also not won a game over the same number of fixtures.
The two teams were among the most active in the just shut transfer window - slashing out to strengthen their squads - yet, this investment is yet to yield any fruits.
