The Polish striker is waging his options: Barcelona, Milan and Juventus

Robert Lewandowski is still in Barcelona and might stay for another season….and maybe he wont. The Polish striker hasn’t decided yet will he remain at the Camp Nou or not, otherwise his agent wouldn’t be in Turin for talks with Juventus. As per Gazzetta, the talks will take place between the Polish striker’s agent and Juve’s brass. Coach Luciano Spalletti is keen on bringing Lewandowski due to his qualities and experience and a possible Champions League qualifications would certainly help. Due to Como’s loss and Roma’s draw, Juventus had a chance to solify that last remaining place with a win against Bologna tonight. On the other hand is Milan, who is also interested in Lewandowski and it seems that details will decide who will get the Barcelona striker, if he decides to move to Italy.

But Juventus are not risking their striker situation and are exploring other options too. Their own striker Dušan Vlahović is also an option, but he will be offered a contract with huge salary decrease and it’s not sure that the Serbian striker will accept it. Juventus is also considering the possible return of Kolo Muani, who expressed interest in Juve after his season at Tottenham. The Lewandowski option remains the most attractive one, given his resume and quality, but the deal is far from done.

According to Catalan outlet Sport, Joan Laporta is planning to offer Lewandowski a one-year contract extension, as his current deal with FC Barcelona expires at the end of June. This offer is not on the table yet, but it would be the one with a lower wage. Barcelona probably doesn’t have money for both a top striker and defender like Inter’s Bastoni, so ideally, they would buy the Italian defender now and then find the money for a striker next season, so Lewandowski seems like a nice ’bridgeover’ until 2027. But the Polish striker will have the final say on that….
