Jordan Henderson is about to return to the Premier League, but not to the Reds or his boyhood club, Sunderland
The unexpected turn for Jordan Henderson. Everyone expected that after an early parting with Ajax Amsterdam, he would return to his native Sunderland. However, the former 35-year-old Liverpool captain chose - Brentford!
He is going there as a free agent, and he has a two-year contract waiting for him. According to British media, it should be made official there sometime next week.
Henderson will join the Bees as a replacement for the team's departed captain, Christian Norgaard, who moved to Arsenal.
In addition, Bryan Mbuemo is also expected to end up in Manchester, although Brentford rejected United's first two offers. The club insists on compensation of €75m euros, and United is pretty close.
There were, of course, new players in Brentford, but we will see how they will fit into the new midfield of Caoimhin Kelleher, Antoni Milambo, Michael Kayode and others.
