Kariobangi Sharks lanky forward Sydney Lokale is eager to improve his form after getting off the mark in the new 2021/2022 Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) campaign in the last league match before the international break.
Since returning to Sharks at the start of the campaign, Lokale was yet to find the back of the net in the opening five games of the season. But in Sharks’ sixth match, the striker bagged his goal opening account as his side condemned reigning champions Tusker to a 3-0 thumping in the match that was played at Kasarani Annex Stadium.

On top of scoring one of the goals, Lokale single handedly carried the team to the win as he provided the assists to the two other goals to win the man of the match award. Following that performance, Lokale was left delighted to finally get off the mark in some style against the champions.
“It felt so good. I have been wanting to score for quite some time but unfortunately it was not forthcoming. It feels so good now that I finally managed to score, get two assists on top of that and be able to contribute to what was a big team win. I am just going to put in some hard work and hope that I will continue with the same form,” the striker told Mozzart Sport.

Additionally, the forward vowed to fight to cement his place in the starting eleven despite facing strong opposition from striking partner Felix Oluoch who currently tops the scoring charts with six goals.
“It is not anyone’s position at the moment. Mine is just to work and to do my part in training and to play well when I get picked,” the striker added.
