Lukaku frightens Man City and Chelsea by stating he will stay at Inter Milan as the club officially announces Konte's successor

A huge disappointment for the English giants as Romelu Lukaku states he is going nowhere, which was great news for the newly appointed manager of Nerazzurri - Simone Inzaghi.

Inter ended Juventus' dominance in Serie A and Lukaku is among those most responsible for the achievement. Belgian shone and sealed first Italian top-flight title in 11 years, scoring 24 goals and producing 11 assists in 36 matches for Inter.

The 28-year-old insists he 'feels good' at Inter and has already had discussions with the new manager following Antonio Conte's departure.

'Yes, I am staying,' Belgian striker of Congolese descent told Dutch broadcaster VTM.

'I've already had contact with the man who normally becomes our new manager. Maybe I shouldn't say that yet... but it was a very positive conversation.

'There's also the challenge of doing it again [winning the league with Inter]. I feel good at Inter.'

Frustrations over a lack of finances this summer led to Conte leaving San Siro hence the search for a new tactician - in comes the former Lazio head coach Inzaghi.

After he moved from England to Italy, Lukaku has become one of the best strikers in world. He struggled to deliver at Man United on a regular basis before eventually moving onto Inter, where he hasn't looked back.

His former club Chelsea are on the search for a new striker following their Champions League winning campaign. And according to Eurosport, club owner Roman Abramovich is sure the Belgian would take the club to the next level.

However, Lukaku's statement has shaken the confidence of the newly crowned Champions League winners.
