Belgium striker scores a brace in a 3-0 landslide victory that puts them on the top of the Group B

Romelu Lukaku has led Belgium to an effortless 3-0 victory against Russia in their opening game of the EURO 2020 in Sankt Petersburg.

Lukaku's brace followed by Meunier's goal swept asside the hosts and made a severe statement regarding potential Belgium's trophy chase.

Moreover, a fearless striker dedicated his first goal to his Inter teammate Christian Eriksen, who collapsed during Denmark's tie but, thankfully, survived after a quick CPR and medical treatment.

On the other hand, no one could save Russians on their very soil. The Red Devils, one of the title-favourites, dominated the game from the start and showed no signs of fragility. Lukaku was the first to put his name on a scoreboard, rushing to a nearby camera to say hello to Eriksen.

Soon it was 2-0, Roberto Martinez's slot killed the game even before the half-time break, and both sides were just counting time until the end. Minutes before the final whistle, however, Lukaku stepped up once again with a perfect finish to provide his team with a 3-0 landslide win.

Russia's tactician definitely has a headache ahead of the following fixtures against Denmark and Finland, while Belgiums are already looking at possible 1/8 final rivals. For them, everything except for the title would be really disappointing.
