
Luvanda happy to open his Tusker goal account

The attacking midfielder was on the scoresheet when Tusker humbled Leopards last weekend
Tusker winger Lawrence Luvanda is glad to have blasted off the pressure for the maiden league goal for the defending champions.
The attacking midfielder netted his first goal for the beer makers last Sunday in their 2-1 win over his former employer AFC Leopards at the Kasarani Stadium.

Luvanda who joined Tusker last year after severing ties with National Super League side Vihiga United revealed that he was under immense pressure to open his goal account with the club.
He however says he can now focus on the future assignments with ease after getting the first of what he anticipates will be many while in the yellow and white robes.

The diminutive winger who had bagged a couple of assists before had come close to scoring his first in the previous matches thanks to the terrific runs on the wing says he will be hunting for four more goals in the remaining seven rounds.
“I had waited for my first Tusker goal for long and I am happy that I bagged it long last and in a big game. The wait had attracted some pressure but I can look forward to the next matches without focusing on my first goal. I hope that I will get at least four and a similar number of assists from the remaining seven matches,” he said.
Luvanda, a Chavakali High School alumnus in the meantime heaped praises on veteran Tusker boss Robert Matano for instilling the confidence in him.
The youthful player said the league winning tactician had the rare tendency of pushing him to exploit his potential and help the team achieve its targets.
