Kenyan international goalkeeper Patrick Matasi, who was lucky to escape alive following a grizzly car accident at Lessos along the Kapsabet-Nakuru road, has provided a positive medical update following the incident that took place on Tuesday June 1.
The accident that occurred on that day in the afternoon after a car in which he was travelling in with his family suffered a tyre burst left the former AFC Leopards player complaining of chest pains and shoulder injuries which caused a lot of worry.
But in a post on his Twitter page, Matasi allayed fears of any possible danger as he expressed his gratitude to everyone who poured in with words of encouragement to wish him the quickest of recoveries.
“I would like to let you know that I am extremely grateful for your great support since my family and I were involved in a road accident. Above all, I thank God for sparing our lives. I am doing well,” he posted.

The goalkeeper who was lucky to cheat death as he walked away from the accident with just a swelling on his right eye went ahead to provide an update on the status of his family who reportedly came off badly from the road accident.
“My wife will be undergoing surgery on Monday, while my son isn’t stable yet but is under the doctor’s care. Thank you and may God bless you,” he added.
