Both Augsburg and Bayern entered this round on the back of wins. However, it quickly seemed in the first half that Bayern Munich would emerge comfortably as the victor. It wasn’t all straightforward, though, as the hosts struck twice early, and that was as much as they could manage…

Bayern Munich took a commanding 2-0 lead over Augsburg in the first half of the Bavarian derby, showing their attacking firepower despite a few early misses.

The game started with chances for both sides. In the opening minute, Luis Diaz received a precise pass deep in the box and tried to shoot first-time, but the effort went well wide. Moments later, in the 4th minute, Michael Olise unleashed a powerful shot toward the right side of the goal, only for the goalkeeper to make a fantastic save.

Augsburg also had their opportunities, with Marius Wolf failing to convert a great chance in the 5th minute and Han-Noah Massengo seeing a shot go just wide in the 19th minute.

Bayern finally broke the deadlock in the 29th minute. Harry Kane delivered a perfect cross into the box, and Serge Gnabry followed through to calmly finish into an empty net, giving the visitors a 1-0 lead. The goal is HERE!

They doubled their advantage just before halftime, in stoppage time at 45+4, when Luis Diaz received a brilliant pass inside the box and slotted the ball past the goalkeeper, making it 2-0. You can see the goal HERE!

Bayern Munich extended their dominance in the second half of the Bavarian derby, while Augsburg tried to fight back but could only manage to reduce the deficit.

The hosts continued to press, and in the 76th minute, Mert Komur broke through the Bayern defense and placed a precise shot into the bottom-right corner, narrowing the gap further to 2-3. This is the GOAL!

Bayern nearly restored their two-goal advantage in the 77th minute when Sacha Boey drove forward on a solo run and struck from the edge of the box, but Finn Dahmen produced another fine save to keep Augsburg within reach.
