Mathare blames Caretaker Committee for its woes, says Transition Committee cannot, legally, relegate the club

Club Chairman Bob Munro has officially written to the FKF Transition Committee question and challenging the relegation of the club from the FKFPL for failure to honor three league matches

The Slum Boys blame their failure to honour three consecutive matches to failure by the FKF Caretaker Committee to pay monthly grants on time.

Furthermore, in a letter addressed to the FKF Transition Committee Head of Secretariat Lindah Oguttu, Mathare United Chairman Bob Munro questions if the Transition Committee has the legal powers to relegate the club.

"After featuring since 1999 in the Kenyan Premier League for 24 consecutive seasons, is it right and fair in fact and even in law for the FKF TC to suspend and relegate MUFC or any other clubs because its predecessor, the FKF CC in which you also served as the Head of Secretariat, repeatedly failed to pay its monthly grants to clubs in a responsible, reliable and timely manner?" the outro reads.
