Mbappe's transfer twist: 'There are new elements'

We published the last article about Kylian Mbappe’s transfer away from Paris Saint Germain exactly 10 days ago. And it was an unbelievable story about his involvement with Barcelona (!) which was published by non-other than respectable L'Equipe. Just one day after that story, Barca’s president Joan Laporta all but denied this report, along with a possible move for Erling Haaland, saying that this kind of transfer talk only increases the price of those players, and that he doesn’t want to harm the interests of Barcelona, adding that it’s all ‘show business’.

Kylian Mbappe’s future is still one of the biggest stories in international football, along with Erling Haaland’s. It’s not like every day one of the best footballers in the world is a possible free agent who will decide his future in just two months. A lot has been said about his involvement with Real Madrid, and PSG’s attempts to renew him at all costs, and Spanish Marca even claimed that he will sign a contract with the Royal club by the end of the week.

We are heading into the third week since that crucial Friday, but not only that the contract was not signed, but we have other information which suggest that the deal to Real is not close. And this time, the information came from the official source: Kylian Mbappe. After a fantastic display against relegation strugglers Lorient (two goals, three assists), he was asked if there is still possibility he stays in Paris.
