"And in January, I will arrive at the beginning of pre-season at Inter," explained Leo

When Inter Miami missed out on a place in the MLS playoffs, speculation immediately started whether Lionel Messi would use the long break in the championship to go somewhere in Europe on loan.

Such things happened, David Beckham did it, now the owner of Inter Miami, Thierry Henry did it... It's just that, instead of a long vacation, the players decided to go to Europe on loan, in order to stay in shape.

Rumors started that Leo Messi could go to Barcelona for a few months, to say goodbye to the jersey of the club where he gained world fame and played most of his career. But nothing will come of it.

After the game with Peru (2-0) in which he scored two goals, Messi was asked by journalists if it is true that he will go somewhere on loan during the winter.

"No. I will continue to train, to be in the best shape for the national team matches next month. After that I will go to Argentina for the holidays. After a long time, this will be an opportunity to rest with my people in December. Then in January I will report to the beginning of the pre-season, as always. I will start from scratch and prepare in the best possible way," explained Messi.

Another potential saga in the winter transfer window has ended quickly. Messi will leave Inter Miami and have a proper vacation.
