With some assistance to his nutritional approach, the Argentinian superstar solved the issue that has been following him for years
A few years ago, it was known almost as a routine that Lionel Messi had stomach issues ahead of his matches and it was not rare to see headlines covering Messi throwing up before the game.
Argentina and Barcelona talisman is widely considered to be the greatest player in the history of the sport, with the striker creating/breaking numerous records during his career so far, including winning a record six Ballon d'Or awards.
Messi, however, had to battle the habit of vomiting before taking the field a couple of years ago and now Marca has now revealed how he has managed to shake that off and turn a corner.
It has now been revealed how Messi managed to turn the corner and move past that difficult stage. The 33-year-old was understood to have consulted a specialist, Dr Giuliano Poser - who had recommended the superstar to make a change when it comes to his diet and the new nutrition regime worked wonders.

Products like alcohol, flour, red meat, fizzy drinks and refined wheats were among the items cut, but luckily for Messi, yerba mate tea is encouraged.
"Vegetables, seasonal fruits and a good mineral water are essential fuels for our muscles. You have to reduce the intake of processed foods or foods contaminated with pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics, medications," Poser said.
Poser also encouraged Messi to work on his mental health and suggested using Bach flower remedies (BFRs are solutions of alcohol and water with the water containing extreme dilutions of flower material).
Messi is not the only star that Poser has advised, with the likes of fellow Argentinian's, Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala also using his services in order to boost their fitness and increase their efficiency on the pitch.
