The Sammy Otulo coached side is aiming for automatic promotion to the FKF Premier League
National Super League leaders, Migori Youth FC, have received a significant lift in their push for promotion following the return of key attacking duo Syphas Otieno and Fredrick Ologi from injury layoffs.
In an official update, the Migori confirmed the comeback of talismanic striker Otieno, who has resumed training after recovering from a hamstring injury, that had kept him sidelined for over three weeks.
"After more than three weeks on the sidelines, Syphas is back in training,” read part of the club’s statement.

Otieno’s return could not have come at a more crucial moment.
With just nine matches left to conclude the 2025/26 campaign, the league has entered a defining stretch, and the forward’s presence is expected to significantly bolster Migori’s attacking threat.
The Kenya U-20 attacker has been instrumental this season, currently sitting as the league’s second top scorer with 17 goals while leading the club’s scoring charts.
His absence was notably felt after he sustained the injury during their narrow 1-0 defeat to Mwatate United, a result that momentarily slowed the team’s momentum in the title race.
Now back to full fitness, Otieno will be keen not only to guide his side to promotion but also to reignite his pursuit of the 'Golden Boot' award, where he trails Collins Maina of Fortune Sacco, who currently leads the scoring charts with 18 goals.
The Mozzart Bet backed side's resurgence has been further strengthened by the return of pacey winger Ologi, who has also been cleared to resume training after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
“Fredrick Ologi, has been cleared to resume training,” the club confirmed.
Ologi had endured a frustrating recovery period, having been stretchered off during Migori’s 2-0 victory over Vihiga United at Awendo Stadium, where he aggravated a left leg fracture.
The injury setback compounded an earlier issue sustained in a 1-1 draw against Kabati Youth FC, that had ultimately ruled him out for approximately five weeks.
Under the guidance of head coach Sammy Otulo, Migori Youth have enjoyed an impressive campaign and currently sit joint top of the standings on 61 points alongside Mombasa United.
With the title race and promotion battle finely poised, the return of two of their most influential attackers provides a timely boost.
