The Kenya Police FC winger has set high targets for the 2022-2023 FKF PL season

After missing out of the Golden Shoe last season, Kenya Police winger Clifton Miheso has earmarked the individual award and the league title as his bare minimums for the new season.

Miheso lost the boot to immediate former KCB forward Derrick Otanga by a goal as the latter's brace in the final day of the campaign saw him finish with sixteen goals, one ahead of his closest challenger.

The experienced winger who can also play as a full back says he doesn't mind double glory at the end of the season that is projected to belatedly kick off next month.

Miheso said his prime target was aiding the law enforcers sweep clean all the available titles through scoring and creating. He hopes his goals tally will be the best at the end of the season.

"My goal has always been to help the team attain its objectives first. I know the team wants to compete for titles and I believe we will claim them. I missed the golden shoe last season and I hope I will be lucky this time round," he said.

The Kenyan international's bid to play regularly and chase his target for the season will be put to test by the duo of Reagan Otieno and David Okoth who joined the club last month.

Miheso acknowledges that the two players are equally talented and will keep him on toes as well as aid the team.

Okoth scored eleven goals and registered nine assists with Kakamega Homeboyz last season.

" The competition from my colleagues is welcome for they will not only push me to be at my best but also will benefit the team. They have top flight experience and their quality will make a difference at the end of the term," he added.
