Milan and Gabriel Jesus — for who knows how many times already

The Brazilian has been linked with the Italian club on several occasions, and it looks like those rumours won’t spare him this summer either

Milan being Milan — looking for what works, what’s affordable, and what once had a bit of a reputation. In this new Rossoneri era (if it can even be called that), that profile often ends up in Milan’s sights, which is why Gabriel Jesus has emerged as a primary target for the striker role. By Milan’s standards, the Brazilian forward fits the bill perfectly.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Arsenal striker is now the club’s main objective, and the deal already appears to be moving forward—at least in terms of a verbal understanding. Alfredo Pedulla reports that the former Manchester City player has changed agents, which is currently seen as a key development. His new representative is part of the same agency linked to Massimiliano Allegri’s agent, a detail that has only strengthened the connection to Milan.

Talks have reportedly been ongoing for months, with discussions over the finer details dating back to January, when Jesus first made the switch in representation.

“It’s no surprise he’s being linked with Milan. He changed agents in January and is now part of the Branchini group. Branchini also represents Allegri, and Jesus has already been offered to Milan. When you put everything together, there is a strong chance he could join Milan. For now, he can be included on the list of strikers who could reinforce them,” Pedulla wrote.

Jesus still has one year left on his contract with Arsenal, meaning he would not arrive as a free agent. Any move would require an agreement between the clubs. Milan are unlikely to spend heavily on the 29-year-old, so a loan deal—potentially with Arsenal covering part of his wages—has not been ruled out. A permanent transfer in the region of €10–20 million is also considered possible, which would likely be the maximum Arsenal could recoup.

Since the arrivals of Viktor Gyokeres and the return of Kai Havertz from injury, Jesus has slipped down the pecking order under Mikel Arteta, who no longer seems to count on him as a key part of the squad.

This season he has played 887 minutes across 25 appearances in all competitions, scoring five goals and providing two assists.
