Crawley Town thump newly-promoted Premier League team (2-0)

And you still don't believe in fairytales?! You should, at least after tonight's shocking 2-0 victory of English fourth-tier side Crawley Town against Premier League slot Fulham in the second round of the Carabao Cup (League Cup)!

Albeit Fulham's coach decided to give his mean-machine Aleksandar Mitrovic a day off, this result is probably one of the biggest upsets in the recent history of the competition.

The EFL League Two team scored a goal in each half to eliminate the favourites, who still haven't lost a game in the EPL after three opening rounds (draws against Liverpool and Wolves, victory against Brentford).

Packed People's Pension Stadium (5,577 living souls in the stands) saw a thrilling match and a deserved win for the home team, which resulted in an ecstatic pitch invasion after the final whistle.

When it comes to other EPL teams, they were far better than Fulham - Aston Villa came from behind at Bolton to win 4-1; Southampton tore down Cambridge 3-0, just like Nottingham Forest did at Grimsby; Crystal Palace and Brentford finished 2-0 up against Oxford and Colchester, respectively; struggling Everton defeated Fleetwood Town away 1-0, while Wolves celebrated at home against Preston; Leicester City and Bournemouth both reached the third round thanks to penalty shootouts in which they were better than Stockport and Norwich.
