Mixed results for Stars Abroad in Sunday action

Former AFC Leopards duo Ian Otieno and Clyde Senaji registered wins for Zesco United and Nyasa Big Bullets in Zambia and Malawi respectively on Sunday.

Blue Eagles 2-3 Nyasa Big Bullets

Clyde Senaji returned to the Nyasa Big Bullets starting squad as the Malawian giants survived a late scare to beat Blue Eagles 3-2 and advance to the final of the Airtel Top * Cup.

Hassan Kajoke opened the scoring on six minutes and Lanjesi Nkhoma doubled the lead two minutes later. Christopher Gototo pulled one back for Eagles on 55 minutes but Emphraim Kandowe restored Bullets' two goal lead with a simple tap in off an Alick Lungu pass on 80 minutes. Eagles responded immediately with Gatoto finding the back the net just a minute later but Bullets withstood the late pressure to win 3-2 and book their place in the final.

Zesco United 3-1 Nkana

Harambee Stars custodian Ian Otieno featured the entire length of the match as Zesco United edged Nkana 3-1 at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

Harrison Chisala opened the scoring for Nkana from the spot on six minutes but Abraham Siankombo levelled for Zesco just before the break. Enock Sakala's second half brace won the game for Zesco.

Richard Odada

In the Danish second-tier, Richard Odada came in the second-half as AaB lost 1-2 to Hobro. After a goalless first half, Lukas Klitten opened the scoring on 71 minutes but Nicklas Helenius equalised three minutes later. Simon Jacobsen won it all for Hobro with a well taken goal on 81 minutes.

Despite the loss, AaB remain second on the log with 38 points from 17 matches while Hobro are fifth with 28 points having played the same number of matches.

Ismael Dunga

In Hong Kong, former Tusker and Sony Sugar forward Ismael Dunga for his club Sham Shui Po as they went down 1-3 to table-topper Lee Man. Sham Shui remain rooted at the bottom of the log with no point after eight matches.
