The midfielder displayed flashes of brilliance in the playoff loss to Wazito.

Murang'a Seal have been dealt a fresh blow after their highly-rated creative midfielder Fabian Adikiny has announced his plan to ditch the club for top flight football.

Murang'a lost the bid to grace top flight football from next season painfully, as the away goal rule worked against them in the promotion/relegation playoff against Wazito.

The Vincent Nyaberi coached side lost 2-1 in the first leg played last week on Thursday at Thika Stadium before claiming a hard-fought 3-2 home win in the return leg last Sunday.

Seal, who boast of having experienced players within their ranks had booked a date with Wazito after finishing third on the second tier behind Fortune Sacco and APS Bomet.

Just before the club could come to terms with the painful loss, the club is staring at the possibility of losing their arguably talented player in Adikiny who feels time is right to call time on his stay in Murang'a.

Adikiny revealed that he stomached enough second tier football and would use the remaining weeks to the start of the new season to hunt for a slot in the top flight.

The midfielder who joined Seal in 2017 from Muhoroni Youth junior team had unsuccessful trials with Bidco United a couple of weeks ago but is said to have attracted interest from a number of top flight clubs following his electric performance in the playoff.

" I badly wanted the team to be promoted but luck was not on our side. I had vowed at the start of the season that the campaign would be my last in the second tier and time is just right for me to move. Rubbing shoulders with the best in the top has been my dream that I must pursue from next season," he said.

Meanwhile, Adiniky, a Kapenguria Boys High School product has described his time at Murang'a as successful and thanked the club for giving him the platform to showcase his talent.

"Murang'a has been my second home for almost five years. I have enjoyed playing football here. I can't thank the club enough for the platform they have offered me, I can only wish them the very best of luck in the new season," he said.
